Young love is generally a pretty typical thing for young pop artists. As you might imagine, every single aspect of the sensation has been well covered in pop music, and Tossin’ and Turnin’ takes on a slightly different aspect – sleepless nights thinking about the object of your desire. It’s really not a very deep song, it doesn’t have much of an idea apart from the standard “new love makes you restless” angle, but it is pretty good overall and a fairly fun track. The really strange thing is it’s become something of a classic based on its ubiquity, it’s a trifle that is elevated by being familiar.
God, this means that we’ll never truly shake the Black Eyed Peas, will we?
